The Sam Broadcaster will automate how you broadcast your event.  We have tried as many software options that you can try.  If you want just a basic broadcast with live commercials instead of a professional production you can order the Simplecast.  It has the same MP3 encoder that Sam has.  It just doesn't have the commercial insert capability and real radio station fade in and integration that you can use with Sam.
